I was a bit hesitant about the newer guns (vs. old school) but the HVLP guns are fantastic. I got an excellent and professional quality output. Now, to be clear, I build furniture and wasn’t interested in body work so I cannot comment but for wood furniture it’s the best finish I’ve ever done. Highly recommended.

I have a lot of spray equipment and this is not the best gun I have, but it is an amazing value. My only complaint is that they did not include the needle size! As far as I can tell it’s 1.4mm. For that they loose one star. They state “Stainless steel fluid needle and nozzle are compatible with today’s advanced coatings.” The reality is, you can only spray thin materials effectively. If you want to paint your car go for it. If you want to load up some latex paint or high solids lacquers, forget about it. I mostly use a 1.8 or larger in gravity feed for my work. Produces an excellent finish if you keep it clean.

We have used a lot of these DH6500 guns over the years in our business and I really like the way they spray. They are reasonably priced and spray just as good as a Binks or Devilbis gun without the $200 + price tag. Rather than trying to periodically rebuild more pricey guns, we buy these and throw them away when they begin to give trouble. The reason I am giving only 3 stars is because Campbell Hausfeld decided to cut corners and redesign the siphon tube so you can no longer rotate the siphon tube for flat or overhead spraying. This makes these guns nearly unusable for our applications. They had a great product and they should’ve stuck with it.
